It's not an Ivorian cooking recipe, but I love it anyway !
Here is a little cooking recipe that I love, which is very simple to make and which always has its effect! It is a light, fresh and ideal dessert for summer !
Ingredients for this fresh and light dessert recipe :
2 ripe pineapples 30g unsalted butter 2 large pinches Ginger powder 1 Small glass of rum (5 cl) 1 tbsp. lemon juice 4 tbsp. tablespoon powdered brown sugar vanilla ice cream
Prepare the pineapple : With a large knife, remove the skin from the pineapple, then cut slices about 1.5 cm thick. You can remove the heart of the pineapple or leave it, according to your tastes (me, personally, I leave it because I like its crunchiness !
Cook the pineapple : Melt the butter in a skillet. As soon as it is hot, place the pineapple slices. Sprinkle 1 pinch of ginger and cook for about 10 minutes over medium heat without the butter blackening. Flip the slices over, sprinkle with the rest of the ginger and cook for another 10 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons of rum and lemon juice. Tilt the pan several times to evenly distribute them. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar over all the slices. Turn them over and sprinkle the rest. Cook another 5 minutes (time for the sugar to caramelize).
Pour the rest of the rum into the pan and flambé, tilting the pan again to evenly distribute the flaming rum.
Put the pineapple slices on the plates. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serve right away !
Enjoy !
